Summary of the Research Paper

The research explores the potential of upgrading paper planes into Micro Air Vehicles (MAV) due to their simplicity compared to complex biological designs. Despite their common use as toys, the basic aerodynamic performance of paper planes has been overlooked. The study analyses Glider, Wide Stunt Glider Plane, and Stunt plane designs through CFD simulations using the ANSYS-CFX module. While the Glider paper plane exhibits superior overall performance, the Wide Stunt paper plane shows promising advantages in distribution and maximum aerodynamic efficiency. With at least a 6.4% improvement over other designs, the Wide Stunt paper plane is deemed crucial for various paper plane operations, including hovering, take-off, and landing manoeuvres.
